Desert Cage

Written by Giuseppe D'Alonzo

You feel like a dog running into the desert

you don’t have a leash but the sand is your cage

the sun is high in the blue sky (Leave your cage)

there are no signs to mark your way  (your way)

long time ago, you walked in the main street

all shops around you, all people make a leash

it’s time to see another place, and to meet brand new friends.

running into your desert cage

looking forward to the sky,

you can see a brand new day, you can turn another page

you move your lips but words seem to vanish

nobody listens to what you want to say

the sun is high in the blue sky (Leave your cage)

there are no signs to mark your way (your way)

it’s time to see another place, and to meet brand new friends.

running into your desert cage

looking forward to the sky,

you can see a brand new day, you can turn another page
